Summer is here!
I think back on the last summer before the turn of the century. A new skate park had opened in Merritt Archipelago and I was tasked with creating a summer skateboard camp. I never went to a skate camp as a unfledged skater. In fact, back then there were no skateboard camps offered, or at least none in Brevard County.
Like most youthful Cocoa Beach groms, I went to the City Recreation Center’s reading of summer camp. We’d start in the morning playing basketball, volleyball or some other plot that required far too much coordination than I had. I also remember lining up for our snacks, drinks, and lunches. The arts and crafts side of the pitch camp was enjoyable because “Arts & Crafts” meant being in the air conditioning. If you were in the end lucky, you’d get to go to the City pool for the afternoon. That’s where the slide was. That’s where the diving live was. You could slide and fly through the air and make a perfect splash landing into the water. Nowadays, I ponder why anyone would even want water in their swimming pool. After all, you can’t skate in a pool full of weaken! Back then, I was about 8- or 9-years-old, and it was a great way to spend the long summer days.
skateboard build old school skool classic vintage style?
Aug 26, 2007 by kimartyn | Posted in Toys
Hi,
have at best bought a old ash blank deck in the classic "old school" style (like when i was a kid 30yrs ago) for my son aged 8. The ship aboard is 27 x 7 at the widest point and i need advice re wheels and trucks to suit the board. I think the present-day skateboards with their puny wheels look naff and want a board with big whees that slightly overhang the go aboard. Can i have some advice please re best size trucks and wheels that would suit. I need to ensure the deck will not rub on the wheels when cornering and do i have to take into account my sons ballast with the trucks. If you can help or know of any suitable web sites for guidance i would appreciate your help
Hm, peradventure a size 12 small.

could anyone interpret this dream please?
Sep 27, 2008 by mattb77 | Posted in Dream Interpretation
ok, it started as a veritably normal dream of me walking around my old secondary school ( i wont go into details, mainly as it was so uninteresting i don't remember it that well). The last, most vivid part of my imagine was me lying on a skateboard, and somehow rolling Straight through a letterbox-size hole into a small, dark, almost coffin like- interruption ( i say coffin like because that's the best way to describe it, but i developed this idea after reflecting on the dream, and the thought it was a coffin did not occur to me during the mirage.) . although i fitted through the letterbox sized hole initially, i could not escape. This occurred fairly late on in my conjure up, so having more control over the dream ( as I often find i do as the dream goes on) i woke myself up as the panic began to set in. i also seemed to watch this happen to myself, rather than practice it. i am slightly claustrophobic in real life, but not to extremes. I do occasionally have dreams of being trapped in small spaces, and in all instances i decide to wake myself up, but usually these dreams are unusual throughout. during these dreams i seem to be watching myself get trapped as well, rather than experiencing it. could anyone please help?
thanks,
matt :)
I can't find anything in my Fantasy Book. I would think it is your innermost self; the claustrophobic side taking over because you have a inner dread of small spaces.
