MYRTLE Shore – The HTC RECYCLING 2010 campaign was an enormous success this year with 72 civic and private schools in Horry and Georgetown Counties recycling over 95,800 directories instead of consuming valuable blank in the local landfill.
Participating schools also recycled 431 old cell phones allowing HTC to contribute $1,098.72 to the Horry County Schools’ fund for homeless students.
During the campaign, participating schools and section citizens in Horry and Georgetown counties were encouraged to recycle old HTC and/or other phone books and apartment phones.
In return, HTC awarded 1st ($2,500 value), 2nd ($1,000 value) and 3rd locus ($500 value) technology prizes to the schools that recycled the most directories based on the billion of students in those schools.
