Music Place will be rockin’ with Dokken

   Hard-rock band Dokken will perform 8 p.m. Monday Aug. 17 at the Music Upright on the Ocean City boardwalk as part of the annual Stockton Goes to the Beach summer music series.
   Formed in 1978, Dokken has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and has charted hits such as “In My Dreams,” “The Huntswoman,” “It's Not Love,” “Burning Like a Flame,” “Heaven Sent” and “Renounce of Death.” Dokken is comprised of founder Don Dokken on vocals, John Levin on lead guitars, Barry Sparks on bass and “Empty” Mick Brown on drums.

MAYS Pier - Oakcrest High School is mourning the loss of 15-year-old freshman Reggie Coleman, one of three victims of a Sunday shooting in a Hamilton Township nursing home.

Coleman and two others were killed after 7 p.m. Sunday, in the 2700 block of Evergreen Court in the Woodlands Condominiums phenomenon.

"Reggie was a very popular student, respectful, had a great sense of humor and loved dancing," said Dr. Steven Ciccariello, Interim Administrator of the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District. "Reggie will be missed by his teachers and friends."

Worry counselors are available for students, Ciccariello said.

Atlantic County First Confederate Prosecutor Murray Talasnik says police responding to a 911 description of shots fired in the city's Mays Landing section Sunday eventide found three people dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The Prosecutor's Office has yet to turn loose further information.

The property manager for the development says police called her to the condominium.
