I find this bloody unfair having gone to a boarding school and having to still go to lessons in freezing classrooms while kids at other schools got the day off. I mean, its more disadvantageous for day schools to be off as the parents have to stay at home, at a boarding school this wouldnt be a problem as we would just stay in our dorms? Any thoughts?
I identify location wise it makes sense but is still unfair when the other schools get to be off. My school was a day school as well as a boarding school and the day girls still had to come in regardless. Us boarders were there already.
They NEVER had the heating on in classrooms! lol

The cane of boarding schools mostly live on the premises, or else are obliged by the school rules to live within a very short distance. All the staff of the public manner in my village are obliged to live in the village itself. For exactly this reason. The pupils, after all, will all be on the spot, so they'd have nothing to do if staff couldn't get to trade. Or else parents would have to drive long distances in snow to fetch them - which of course they couldn't do anyway. Terms at civil schools are anyway shorter, so you benefit in many ways.

I applied to several boarding schools, and was rejected to teo of them, accepted to four or five and waitlisted at the Choate. Any ideas on how to get off the waitlist?

hey, i got waitlisted too

its worthy to remember that waitlisting is acception without room, they could fill their class 4 or 5 times over. it also isn't about grades or scores. for example, they are looking for socio-financial diversity and people from all over. i am a boarder prospective, but i live near the school,, and there are a lot of kids like me. therefor, i may have btter scores, but someone wh had less seemly scores from rural indiana could have gotten in.

write a letter, and send in new grades. this will show them that you are interested.

then you gotta minister to, it may take a while.

no pressure. 1700 kids applied. there are only a few spots
