HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL PARTY GaMES?
Apr 22, 2007 by hilary m | Posted in Other - Games & Recreation
The party will be favoured and outside. (my yard is not very big)
Sensible ideas only or I will report you.
I will only report you if you go against yahoo policy's (swearing etc)
Satisfied to see this question! I'm also looking for ideas to have a HSM party for my daughter, who will be 9 next month.
I was thinking of having a treasure hunt (the kind where you give a tip-off as to where to find the next clue, and so on) using the basketball hoop, pompoms, microphones, and things like that, and a big prize at the end. It would have to be one for everyone, so I was thinking of buying a knot of the HSM books ($5 each at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1423104226/24680e-20 ) or checking at Restricted Too, a store we have in the mall that had a bunch of HSM merchandise, including school folders, pencils, erasers, playing cards, etc.
Another vim will be cloth sunvisors that I found at Target for $1 each that we will decorate with fabric paints, possibly decorating t-shirts as well (we'll see...)
We'll do HSM karaoke (we already have the car and CD), of course, and my daughter got a Twister Dance game for Christmas with 4 plastic pads and a DVD that instructs you on doing disparate dance moves. That may be fun, but there aren't really enough pads to go around, so I'm not sure how well that will work.
I don't think many of the girls are especially benefit at basketball, but it might be kind of neat to throw in a good old-fashioned game of H-O-R-S-E. :)
What do you think of having some kind of trivia amusement that's like the scholastic decathlon? I would have to come up with some questions that they could possibly know the answers to, I guess maybe out of the Trivial Tracking box. Just brainstorming here. It could also be a HSM trivia game. I'm pretty sure all the girls have seen it since the school music teacher showed it to her classes last set upon disagree as a treat. That is what started this whole thing!
It's a sleepover party, so the evening will culminate with popcorn and individual pizzas that the girls can ornament to their own tastes (I put out bowls of ham, pepperoni, onions, olives, extra cheese, etc.) and an outdoor showing (weather dependent) of the HSM talkie on a projection screen that my husband says he's going to do. We'll see.... :P
I'll be checking back to see what other ideas people come up with! Lean to free to email me by clicking on my profile!
